Niki Welz
Training, Consultancy and Research Manager
Niki is a qualified Special Education Teacher with a dual degree in Philosophy from Flinders University. She has worked with individuals on the autism spectrum across the ages for the past ten years in a range of roles at Autism SA. She has been a part of the iMsocial Project, the Dandelion Project and is currently the Chair for the Professional Practice Committee.
Lexie Dryden
Consultant
Lexie has been at Autism SA since 2003, and has been working in the disability sector for over thirty years. She has a passion for sharing her knowledge and experience with others to increase community inclusion, their awareness and understanding of Neurodiversity and to use Evidence Informed Strategies to support individuals in reaching reach their full potential. She has significant experience in developing and implementing a range of state and nationally based training programs including being a Keynote Speaker alongside Temple Grandin and with Positive Partnerships.
Kate Exner
Training and Consultancy Coordinator
Kate has a Bachelor of Behavioural Science from Flinders University and has worked as a Senior Autism Advisor at Autism SA for seven years before becoming the Training and Consultancy Coordinator. She has worked in mainstream and special educational settings, and as an intensive home based behaviour therapist.
Louise Williams
Training and Consultancy Presenter
Louise has a Diploma of Teaching and a Bachelor of Special Education. She has worked as a Junior Primary Teacher, Special Needs and Special class teacher and has worked as an Autism Consultant for the Autism SA School Inclusion Program for over ten years.
Erica Handley
Training and Consultancy Presenter
Erica has a Bachelor of Special Education and has worked at Autism SA since 2003. She has extensive experience working with both DECD and Catholic Education developing intervention programs to successfully support students with complex needs. She has presented research at the 2012 Australian Pacific Autism Conference (APAC), Interstate and State Conferences, and was a member of the Australian Autism Education and Training Consortium's Positive Partnerships Team.
Zoran Bekric
Training and Consultancy Presenter
Diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome in 2007, Zoran has worked in a variety of industries, but is currently employed at Autism SA, where his interest in the history and nature of autism serves him well. As part of his duties, he co-presents workshops on autism to both new staff at Autism SA and outside professionals, covering the history of the diagnosis and its statistical prevalence. He also acts as an ambassador for Autism SA, talking to community groups and organizations about autism and answering questions to help spread knowledge and awareness of autism.

and Research
The Training, Consultancy and Research team also utilise a range of experienced professionals from across the organisation including Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Behaviour Therapists to present workshops.
